Character name: Nick Hackett
Character year: 6th
Character house Gryffindor
Position applying for: Chaser or Seeker, wherever needed
Your experience: Mother is a broom repairer, done lots of flying with her as a child.
RP example of playing Quidditch:
Nick swooped down to pick up the Quaffle that one of the other chasers had dropped during practice. "Come on, team, we're not going to beat Slytherin like that!" He tossed the Quaffle back to the nervous-looking fourth-year chaser who was trying out for the team, who caught it while wobbling on his broom. Then, darting up towards the goal, he gestured for the young boy to pass him the Quaffle, catching it in his outstretched arm before firing it into the right-hand goal, past the outstretched arm of the Keeper. "So it's all about being decisive - that monent of indecision that you have could cost the game," he explained.

Would you like to be considered for captain?: Yes
If yes, what would make you a good captain?: Head Boy, well liked among other students, approachable.

Character name: Ning Nergui
Character year: 5th
Character house Slytherin
Position applying for: Keeper
Your experience: * inserts lies about practicing here as is unwilling to advertise how little practice he has had *
RP example of playing Quidditch: (e.g. them at the start of a match)

He was not even sure why he was here. Right he was trying to prove a point that he could be just as great as everyone else. Of course he could not hear anything which would make things slightly more difficult. At least he did not have to worry about hearing anyone, and it was one less distraction for him. One less distraction between him and the quaffle. As he knew it was his job to make sure the quaffle did not get into the hoops.

Would you like to be considered for captain?: Only if you really need one...
If yes, what would make you a good captain?: Probably would only be a decent one, as he does not know much about quidditch and only signing up to prove a point to himself.

Retracts Quidditch Sign-Up due to likely not having enough time to rp quidditch well, unless I get more time in the future then maybe.

Character name:Sarah Smith
Character year:7th
Character house Gryffindor
Position applying for: Beater
Your experience: flying isn’t much of a problem for Sarah and has a strong arm ,plus quick instincts
RP example of playing Quidditch: At least with Quidditch it helped Sarah keep her mind off of other things, and an excuse to keep herself in line now. Beater was a nice way to let out some of her anger, in a healthy way. With her bat leaning ob her shoulder, she peered to one of her other team mates. Today’s game sytherin against Gryffindor was going to be amusing. The pitch was soaking wet ,and was still raining, a little depressing, but the Gryffindor team was determined to win. Sarah smiled as the quaffel was thrown up in the air.,
Would you like to be considered for captain?: umm probably not
If yes, what would make you a good captain?: n/a

Character name: Julia Crown
Character year: 7th
Character house Gryffindor
Position applying for: Seeker
Your experience: Julia's been an exceptional flyer since she started and was picked for the team as seeker her fifth year. Being on the team this year would be her 3rd year.
RP example of playing Quidditch: Julia sat in the locker room, her robe, gloves and pads on as she sat on a bench and thought about the match that started in a few minutes. She could hear the cheering, and felt butterflies in her stomach, despite this being her third year on the team. But this was how she felt each year before just before the first game. She took a deep breath as she looked at the board with the notes on it just before she stood up and walked near the opening to join the rest of the team just before they were all called to fly out onto the pitch.

She flew out on her Nimbus 2001 and took her position above the rest of the team, looking down as she did so. She took one more deep breath just before Madame Hooch blew the whistle and the quaffle was thrown up as the match began.
Would you like to be considered for captain?: yes
If yes, what would make you a good captain?: she has been on the team for 3 years and is in love with the game. She can help everyone of the team members improve their game and can be an exceptional leader on, and off, the pitch. Generally people in her house like her and she can easily develop good relationships with the other members of the team.

Character name: China Orpen
Character year: Fifth year
Character house Gryffindor
Position applying for: Beater
Your experience: played a lot of quidditch before she came to school, has never made the team but practiced at least three hours a day over the summer (kind of became obsessed with it)
RP example of playing Quidditch: (e.g. them at the start of a match)
China looked around her as she walked up to the door that would lead her onto the field. Already, her adrenaline was running high. She had made it! She was on the team, standing before he first match. She had never believed it possible, though she had tried out for the team every year since she had been old enough to join. She had practiced hard, harder than anyone, as far as she could see. She was ready. And this position was perfect for her, exactly her style.

She leapt up onto her broom. It was an older broom, a Comet 290, since she had had to buy it herself. But it was a good broom, if it was handled right. China raced to join the rest of her team, her excitement running high. This was going to be good!

Would you like to be considered for captain?: No
If yes, what would make you a good captain?: She'd be a terrible captain...at least right now

Character name: Jinx Hoffman
Character year: 6th
Character house Ravenclaw
Position applying for: Keeper
Your experience: has played before he started Hogwarts and has been on the team since. He practices on a lot of his free time. Jinx wants to help kids, in anyway he can, improve.
RP example of playing Quidditch: (e.g. them at the start of a match) Jinx leaned to his right to block the quaffle from entering the ring. He nearly fell off the side of his broom. As he grabbed the quaffle, he swung right until he had flipped around his broom. Without a pause to rethink what had happened, he through the quaffle back into play. Suddenly, he felt a piercing pain in his shoulder...
Would you like to be considered for captain?:yes,if needed
[b]If yes, what would make you a good captain?:
He would help kids improve and be dedicated to matches.

Character name: Arya Linely
Character year: 7th
Character house Slytherin
Position applying for: Beater
Your experience: She's been playing quidditch alot in her free time at home and was on the team two years ago, though she didn't have time to be on it last year. She practices on the pitch every night, but as the common sense to to always practice with the bludger itself :P
RP example of playing Quidditch: Arya flew above the team, watching out for bludgers as her houses chasers flew the quaffle down the pitch. She always had her teammates back off the pitch, and even more on the pitch. Her eye picked up movement from near on of the chasers about to recieve a pass, but she quickly zoomed in and got there before the bludger could hit her teammate, bashing the ball then toward the keeper, hoping the distraction would give her chasers a free shot on the posts.
Would you like to be considered for captain?: No
If yes, what would make you a good captain?: she'd have too much fun being a bit mean to people, she'd be horrible if she had that kind of power.

Character name: Jackie Cruise
Character year: Sixth
Character house Gryffindor
Position applying for: Chaser or reserve Beater
Your experience: The way I see it, Jackie's really fit for the position of being a beater since she is quite notorious for packing quite a punch despite her appearance. She's definitely capable for this sport (or any other sport for that matter) not only because she does like rough activities and sports, but also because she's got the determination to pull this off, is humble in victory and gracious in defeat and she does like Quidditch. Other than that, she's had quite some practice herself (if only to show off to Robbie and make him envious) in both the fields of Beater and Chaser and was initially a Beater for the team but then decided to shift to Chaser because it has more thrill in her eyes.
RP example of playing Quidditch: (e.g. them at the start of a match)
Would you like to be considered for captain?: Probably
If yes, what would make you a good captain?: Her incredible determination and probably the huge dedication she has to the team which will only be intensified if she does become captain. She's very fair and knows how to work things out in the best way she could, practices and feuds and problems and all that. She's really easy to get along with unless she finds someone too annoying for her taste (just annoying won't be a hassle since she can still put up with them)

Character name: Holden Rowan
Character year: 6
Character house Ravenclaw
Position applying for: Chaser
Your experience: None playing Quidditch, though she's very much in shape and passed flying class.
RP example of playing Quidditch: The referee of the game and the flying professor, JJ McGinley, stood on the ground, holding the quaffle. Holden narrowed her eyes. This year Ravenclaw wouldn't be taken advantage of. Not with her speed. She'd practiced very hard for this and she was ready to take on the opposing team. Why should Gryffindor and Slytherin always get all the attention? Why should they cause the other teams to cringe when they faced off? For once, she wanted the sound of 'Ravenclaw' to rattle the cages. Heck, they even sounded somewhat dangerous. Gryffindor? Slytherin? Hufflepuff? By the end of saying the names, it was hardly intimidating anymore but Ravenclaw, that had a ring to it all the way through.

Holden cracked her knuckles and readjusted her grip on her Silver Arrow. She'd tied her hair back extra tight, and used a spell so her hair wouldn't get in her face. She placed her goggles over her eyes and focused on the quaffle in McGinley's hands. She didn't hear anything except the whistle and she was off, first to snatch the ball and zooming off towards the goal. She maneuvered with skill and purpose, randomly but precisely.

An opposing chaser came onto her left, an opposing beater on her right, but a Ravenclaw beater above her as she zoomed across the field. A bludger flew towards her but her teammate got it, resulting in knocking an opposing chaser down straight into the game. But she didn't focus on that. She gripped the ball tighter, making sure there weren't any loopholes that the opposition could come and snatch it. She suddenly ducked and spun her broom so she was spiraling towards the ground until she shook off her surrounding players and then scooped up in time to fly towards the goals. A chaser blocked her at the last moment but she faked left and then went underneath them, tossing it to her fellow chaser, who caught it and threw it into the middle hoop, resulting in a satisfying "DING!" that proved their early lead. "Great job!" Holden called to them, and then passed them for a high five, sticking her tongue out at the opposing chaser who'd tried to block her.

Would you like to be considered for captain?: That would be fun!
If yes, what would make you a good captain?: Holden is a good pick for team captain, even though she's never played. She's witnessed games before and has of course read up on every book on Quidditch in the Hogwarts library (no pun intended). Though she's lacking in the actual experience of playing, she still has the intelligence to lead a team and can give good instructions that are thought out and won't end in bad consequence. For example, Cormac McLaggen would not have made it onto the team. Holden read up on the problems of a vain teammate and has also read up on glitches in games, such as bewitched bludgers, so that she can make game plans in how to play best in all situations. She's easy to get along with, but she's not a push-over. She gets her work done and if she makes captain, there won't be a problem that lasts more than ten minutes tops.
