Allegra quickly hurried around her classroom, quickly picking up all the crystal balls from the various tables and placing them in her glass fronted cabinet. She usually left then out on all the tables, but today she felt it would be best to put them out of the way.
A smashed crystal ball tended to cause a lot of tiny shards of glass that would only be found when they were inevitably stood on by bare feet.
Her NEWT class were going to be studying the art of hydromancy. This was a method of divination by means of water, including the color, ebb and flow, or ripples produced by pebbles dropped in a pool.
She was expecting a some what damp classroom after the lesson so Allegra made her way around the classroom muttering 'Aqualentus' at everything she wanted to protect. Satisfied that her room would be safe from harm, she placed herself at the front of the room to await her class.

Bag over her two shoulders, Lisa entered the room surprisingly early for her. She'd had a free class before so had sat mindlessly doodling, not quite sure what to do other than let her mind wander. What was the point of her working, here? She was going to do it all again at home...unless she'd been missing for months now? No, no, she couldn't think like that, not now...
Sighing, she climbed the steps, seeing the familiar figure of the Professor standing there. She wondered what they were going to do today - it usually wasn't the most...well, academic, but it was fun, so she hoped it was fun. Smiling a little at the Professor, she sat down, wondering who else was going to arrive...

Elsie raced up the stairs to her next class. She loved divination. It was probably one of her favorite subject, quite possibly her absolute favorite. "Hey Professor Malfoy!" Elsie called, breathless, as she slid her way into the classroom. She sat down next to the other student in the classroom, one that she had seen around but didn't really know. "Hi, I'm Elsie," she introduced herself. "And you are?" She asked as she took out her book.

"I'm Lisa." She smiled at her, taking her in curiously. She looked a bit familiar but she had no idea why - could she know her in the future? Her name wasn't familiar, but then she wasn't very good with names. Faces were easier to remember, more emotional and responsive...
"It's nice to see someone else here! I wasn't sure if anyone would really show up, some people think Divination is a real waste of time..!" She said, shaking her head a little. It wasn't the most academic subject, sure, but it was fun and fascinating - even her brother teased her for enjoying it, but then she'd ended up shoving an acid pop in his mouth and he'd not been able to say much more about it until he'd gone to the hospital wing...she'd been in a bit of a bad mood that day...

Elsie smiled and nodded. "But I love divination! It's probably my favorite subject. I heard we're working with water today. Sounds exciting!" Elsie clapped her hands. She was hyper from caffeine and excited for the class. Not a good mix for her.

Lisa couldn't help but be caught up by her hyperness and couldn't help but giggle, clapping her hands herself. "Oooo, I love water! What kind of thing can you use it for?" She asked her curiously.

Elsie got up on the edge of the seat. "Well, I don't know what we would do here, but I know that if you throw a certain number of pebbles into, say, a pond, you can read the ripples they make.

"It seems very complicated, doesn't it?" She asked after thinking it over for a minute. "I think I prefer tea leaves - but then maybe after I'll change my mind! But I never knew you could get much response from ripples unless you were really really looking..."

Lisa was still giggling. "Yes, quite right! I really had to look for the crystal ball, I didn't quite get it for ages and then I realised I was looking far too hard! That was embarrassing!"

Clapping her hands to get the attention of her class, Allegra approached her desk and leant on the side of it. "Ok class, as some of you may have heard around the castle, today we will be exploring the art of hydromancy. This is the prediction of the future using water."
Walking across the room, Allegra opened up a large oak cabinet full of granite bowls, "If 1 student from each pair would come up and collect one of these stone dishes and return it to their desks and we shall start the lesson."

Lisa beamed happily at her, watching her return eagerly as she looked down at the strange dish. "Do you think we drop pebbles in there?" She asked Elsie curiously.

Allegra watched all her students collect their bowls and look at at her expectantly. "Right class, first thing is to fill the bowls with water from your wand. Not too much mind, i don't want to be swimming out of here at the end of this class."

Elsie giggled as she said the simple spell to get the water in the bowl. "Oops," she said, blushing as she got water all over the table, floor, and her dress. "I'm so sorry!" Murphey's Law at it again, she thought, looking at the hopeless mess that she would probably just make worse if she tried to fix it. "Umm..." she said, not quite sure of what to do next.
