He was an early riser around full moon - thankfully, it was only after, so he didn't have to look forward to the pain that was automatically associated with that time of the month. He'd had a decent transformation this time though, even after the whole Cassie thing...thankfully, it was all fixed, but the idea that he could have lost her through his own stupidity was heartbreaking. He needed to get himself into gear - he needed to be more responsible. He was already working hard, to try and get them some money, but he needed to work harder in school, probably. And, most importantly, he needed to remember that she really did love him no matter what happened, what he was, what he'd done. That was maybe the hardest the get his head around but the scare of losing her had been enough to jolt him into action.

He was walking around, blissfully ignorant to anything else but thoughts of her, planning their future. He'd been looking up houses, trying to gauge prices to rent something they could live in. He had some money, not a lot, but enough to maybe get them started - especially as they wouldn't even be thinking about it properly for a while and he'd have time to get more before then. He just needed to keep working hard, concentrating - then he could ask her what she wanted and, hopefully, he'd be able to do it without worrying about money for once.

Lighting another cigarette, he stuffed the box back inside his pocket, trying to ignore the faint sting of the four large scratch marks on his face - the rumour going around was that Cassie had done it - personally, he wouldn't mind that one bit - and continued along the grounds, feet squishing in the mud. It was only when he got rounds some more that the faint sound of talking caught his sensitive ears and he inhaled deeply. The scent was very familiar and he closed his eyes for a second, confirming it before walking towards the Whomping Willow, where the familiar shape of Anira was hanging.

After a minute or so he finally reached her, grinning widely. "Aiya." He called up to her in greeting, laughing a little - he could pick up her excitement from here.

Jake just grinned. "What are you up to? Talking to the Willow again? Because I tried that once and it just swung a branch at me in a pretty weird 'go away' gesture." He said, clearly not having enjoy the experience of dodgy a massive part of a tree aiming for his head.

Jake sighed, taking a breath before stepping forward, still a little wary, and kept walking cautiously until he was beside the trunk, standing just below her. "If you have to take me to George, just tell her I tried, ok? I'm up there too much, apparently." He couldn't help but grin.

He leant back on the tree, grinning up at her sheepishly. "Oh, er, she's Healer Bauer - sorry, I'm up there so much I just call her George...I kind of forget most people don't do that..." He raised his cigarette to his lips, inhaling before letting out a relaxed breath, purposefully directing it away from her.

"It really responds well to you - the tree." He pointed out. "Is it because of the elvish talk or...?" He trailed off, hoping she'd have some kind of explanation.

"And modest company." He couldn't help but laugh. It was weird, in a way, seeing Anira talk so much - if you'd asked him about that a year ago he wouldn't have even really know who she was bar the fact that she didn't really talk...

"The idea was kind of you saying that you were good company - so I sort of hinted it was boasting, so I was being sarcastic and saying you were modest...it was kind of funnier before I had to explain it." He decided after a second of deliberation.
